This means that they have been evaluated based on more than 30 criteria, including the cleanliness of the water and sand, safety, comfort, and service. However, this does not mean that the Valencian Community is only known for its beaches and swimming opportunities. There are many other attractions that make Alicante a must-visit destination. Many of our guests visited the waterfalls in July, and the temperature was around 17 degrees Celsius during this time. The natural beauty of the area is complemented by well-developed infrastructure. There are both paid and free parking areas, as well as camping facilities, bars, restaurants, and a barbecue area where visitors can prepare their own meals. Gorg del Salt Waterfall
The rating is rounded off by the Alicante Gorg del Salt Waterfall. It is located in the gorge of theEncanta, near the village of Plans. There is a natural lagoon-shaped pool, and there are also many gullies filled with water that do not dry out all year round.
The easiest way to get there is by car along the CV-700 highway by entering the address on the navigator: Gorg del Salt. There is a parking lot on site where you can park your car, but you need to walk further. A staircase leads down to the lagoon with waterfalls. Here you can enjoy the rocky landscapes and cool waters, there are all conditions for an impressive vacation.
As for the infrastructure, there are no cafes and restaurants in the gorge itself and near the waterfalls, as this is a natural area. Therefore, it is better to take water and a snack with you. The nearest food outlets are in the village of Planes. We recommend visiting the Planes grill bar, a convenient place for lunch after a walk, or BAR NOU CATALÀ, a popular and affordable cafe in the village.

When is the best time to go to the waterfalls
The ideal time to visit the waterfalls in Alicante is in the spring, as there is more water at this time. It is also nice in the summer, but the flow is smaller. In the fall, it is comfortable as it is not hot, but it can be slippery, so we recommend bringing a change of shoes: trekking boots or water sandals.
